HISTORY: A wiki link!

PERSONALITY:

When the audience first noticed Yukiko, she had an air around her that screamed elegance and class. Naturally, training to run her family’s business, an old traditional inn, will do that to someone. She was formal to most folks around her and gained a reputation with boys being cold due to her rejecting any advances. Yukiko may have been quiet from the beginning but as the audience watched her grow, we notice that she is a determined young woman trying to figure out what to do with her life on her own terms.

In the beginning, we see that Yukiko is a popular and intelligent student. She was seen getting very high marks during exams and helping out friends when there's a need, such as during midterms. With her popularity, there was a 'game' called the Amagi Challenge: boys would go up to Yukiko and ask for a date, hoping she will say yes. However, she turned them all down. In all honesty, she didn't feel right when people talk about her looks. In fact, she feels uncomfortable and doesn't mention much about it. Sometimes she's just oblivious, asking Chie why a strange boy from another school came up and asked her out. At her current canon point, Yukiko still doesn't mention about her looks but she is more friendly and open to others who aren't her friends.

We noticed Yukiko taking care of the family business and takes over when her mother is unable to. This is what we thought she wanted to do in life. Everyone around Yukiko thought she had set goals for her life and had a plan together; it was the opposite. When her Shadow confronted her with her darkest thoughts, it was revealed that she didn’t want to work at the inn any longer. She pined for her ‘Prince Charming’ to come and rescue her from her life in Inaba. She denied it and naturally, it pissed the shadow off. She then came to realize that the shadow is speaking the truth and felt like her life was being decided for her. So Yukiko does feel uncertainty of what she wants to do in the future at this point. She’s not perfect despite appearances.

Once the protagonist and the rest of the Investigation Team get to know her, they learn that Yukiko is actually livelier. One thing they noticed is her bizarre taste in humor, which happened to be odd and sometimes horrible. She will laugh like a hyena when someone tells a bad joke or if horror is involved. When the protagonist takes her to a movie, she will comment about how it made her laugh and wonder why no else was. It was actually a horror movie they went to, therefore a reason why her sense of humor is odd. Another example is when Teddie made a pair of silly glasses, saying it was going to help see through the TV World. When Yukiko put them on, she wouldn't stop laughing and got Chie to try them on too. So some can say that when she does laugh, it can be at the most inappropriate times.

She also showed a competitive side when the team decided to have an omelet making contest. Yukiko even says to Rise: “I’ll cut you down in one stroke.” She was seen attempting to cook when she spends time with the protagonist during her Social Link events. Needless to say, she really needs to work on it because during a camping trip, she and Chie made a nasty concoction that has been dubbed 'Mystery Food X'. It was so bad, it made both Yosuke and the protagonist sick.

Yukiko is determined to make her own way in the world and has a strong will. She expressed that she wishes to leave Inaba and do her own thing. At one point, she was discussing interior design as a possible career choice with the protagonist in her Social Link. She doesn't go through with the plan however but she does attempt to make a plan and try to learn skills to help her be more independent. She stayed in Inaba in the end when a tabloid came to town and wanted to write a story that would be more harmful to her home than help. She told them off and it was then that she realized that she chose to stay and she wasn't forced into it. The inn and the workers are her family and she wanted to protect them. Yukiko is a strong woman but not counting for the physical aspect but she has a strong sense of right and wrong and will tell it like it is. Just ask Yosuke: she’s pretty blunt when it comes to his advances.

To summarize: Yukiko was seen as a woman of class and somewhat untouchable. She seemed to be the quiet type that refused any boy who would ask her out and had an idea what she wanted to do after graduation. Once certain events occur, the audience sees her as a lively girl with bad tastes in cooking and humor but with a strong and kind heart. She is also determined to do things because she feels in her heart that it’s good for her and not because everyone else expects it.

ABILITIES:

Persona

A persona is a part of a person, considered as part of their soul, that can be called to fight. Persona usually take the form of gods and heroes of a certain pantheon with a few exceptions such as Lucifer and Beelzebub. In P4's case, the're based on Shinto myths and deities. In order to gain the power of persona, one has to 'face themselves' by beating and confronting their Shadow. Once the person accepts the shadow as theirself, they gain the power. Personae vary between people in both look and power; Yukiko’s focuses on fire magic and healing spells.

Amaterasu: Yukiko’s final tier persona who is focused on fire attacks and defensive spells. Her attacks are listed here.Amaterasu, as well as Yukiko, can resist electricity and block fire attacks.

SINS & VIRTUES:
Sins

-Envy: In the beginning, she showed quite a bit of envy to her best friend, Chie. To Yukiko, it looked like she had more freedom and didn’t have the ‘burden’ of taking charge of something that she wasn’t sure she wanted to even do.
-Sloth: Mostly shown in the beginning, Yukiko wanted someone else to save her instead of doing the work herself. She got better with wanting to try to do things on her own such as skills needed to live alone like cooking. Don’t eat her food if she offers.
-Wrath: More played for jokes but Yukiko has showed signs of this. She has punched Yosuke in the stomach over a misunderstanding about studying. She has pushed the protagonist, Yosuke, and Kanji over a cliff due to believing they were perverts about her swimsuit. At one point she told Rise for a cooking contest “I’ll finish you in one strike” and even Rise makes comments during the battles about how scary Yukiko can be when angry.

Virtues

-Kindness: Some call her a snow queen but Yukiko does show it to potential friends such as being warm around Teddie when they first meet. She automatically uses the honorifics ‘kun’ and ‘chan’ upon first meeting. You also have to show kindness where you’re the healer of the group.
-Humility: Despite Yukiko being an ‘heiress’ and therefore having a lot of money, she is never seen as someone throwing that wealth around. Yukiko is constantly working her butt off at the inn and Chie mentioned it a couple times in game that she usually helps out and so much that she misses school when a big crowd seems to gather. And somehow managed to keep up in her studies. But most of all, she’s modest. While she wants her own independence, she also thinks about others such as the workers at her inn. In fact, she sees them as family.
-Charity: Now while Yukiko isn’t seen working with a charity, the virtue also describes something that she has done in her timeline: self-sacrifice. As well as the other members of the Investigation Team, when Yu was targeted by Izanami’s Thousand Curses, Yukiko shoved him aside and took the attack for them. Thanks to that she was ‘sent to Yomi’ but it’s another way of saying that she died for him.

Sample 2:

Yukiko managed to convince the cook on duty to leave the kitchen while she worked on a new noodle recipe she found in one of the books in the library. However she forgot to copy the material down but she had a good memory, it would be alright. Getting the chef to leave his station however was a bit hard but she did bring a ‘gift’ in the form of some baked pastries from that one place…Phone Tap? She knew it was run by someone in the Crossing and that was about it; they seemed to be pleased and left Yukiko to do her work.

In all honesty, this was the first time she felt more normal since arriving in this world. Hearing that she was no more than property and a downright whore made her remember her shadow and her own feelings of wanting to be free from her gilded cage. As she chopped some carrots, she couldn’t help but hear her own words about how she wanted to leave her home and now that she has…she wanted to go back. She thankfully stopped midchop because her fingertip was very close to the knife. She let out a sigh of relief as she dropped the noodles in one pot and the carrots in another. While the starch cooked, Yukiko went to the cupboards and grabbed several different spices and a few liquid bottles. Did one of them say squid ink? She did learn her lesson about using odd things in simple recipes…right?

Apparently not since one of the spices was some kind of chocolate aphrodisiac but it too went in with the carrot and squid ink mixture. Along with some cayenne powder, poultry seasoning, seasoned salt, and what looked like ketchup.

“That should give it some color!”

She was blissfully unaware how bad her creation was, not noticing the purple smoke coming from the food and as she turned her back, two small elementals crept up and decided to take a look at what the human girl was doing.

Bad idea when they decided it would be something good to eat. An even worse one when both fell flat on the counter top.

Yukiko turned around two minutes later and noticed the elementals rolling on the counter and her food dish completely empty. “Oh no, my food is gone!” she pouted, not realizing the color change of the spirits was due to how atrocious her dish was. She put her hands on her hips and stared at the two little ‘troublemakers’, trying to think of something to say to them. What could she say to them?

“Hmm, you two seemed to like it…I can make you more!”

The elementals stopped mid roll, looked at each other, and rolled quickly away from the teenager, leaving her puzzled.

“…huh, maybe they went to get some friends.”
